What is Moissanite?
Moissanite is a gemstone with all the sparkle of a diamond but with a meteorite twist! Originally found in a meteor crater, this gem was once mistaken for diamond—but it has even more fire and brilliance, catching rainbows of light like no other. Today’s moissanite is lab-created, meaning it’s not only sustainably made but also ultra-durable. And here’s the best part: moissanite gives you that dazzling, starry glow without the diamond price tag. So if you’re looking for sparkle with a story, moissanite is the perfect choice!
Durability: Moissanite is an extremely durable gemstone, ranking second on the Mohs scale of hardness. It is highly resistant to scratching and chipping, making it suitable for everyday wear.
Brilliance & Fire: Moissanite exhibits exceptional brilliance and fire, meaning it reflects light beautifully and sparkles intensely. Its optical properties give it a stunning appearance, often excelling that of a diamond
Affordability: Moissanite is more affordable than diamonds, making it an attractive option for those seeking a brilliant gemstone without the high price tag.
Ethical Sourcing: Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone, which means it is synthesized in controlled environments rather than mined from the earth. This ensures that the sourcing of moissanite is conflict-free and has a lower environmental impact.
Rarity & Uniqueness: While moissanite is now produced in laboratories, its origins lie in naturally occurring minerals found in meteorites. Moissanite's rarity in nature adds to its allure and gives it a sense of uniqueness.
What is Gold Vermeil?
Gold vermeil is a type of high-quality gold plated jewlellery. It features a base of sterling silver coated with a thick layer of gold that is at least 2.5 microns thick. This is 5 times thicker than the average gold plating, giving you the look and feel of solid gold at a much more affordable price.
