Us, 20 years ago
Today I celebrate 20 years with my love. I met him by accident. If I hadn’t been visiting Montreal, and I hadn’t needed a couch to crash on, I never would have met him. I was supposed to drive to Ottawa that day, but I couldn’t after a long lunch with a mutual friend and too many glasses of sangria!
He came to meet us and the second he walked in the door — I knew.
It turns out, his feelings echoed mine. “I’m in trouble,” he thought. In that moment, both our hearts skipped a beat. And 20 years later, we are still together.
We’ve been married 9 years, but the 20 years together are what I want to celebrate. The universe brought us together and I want to mark that magic with something special, something unique. Something as brilliant as the stars that aligned for us that day.
