LITZI ‘Carrie’ Necklace 💛

YOUR JOURNEY IS PERSONAL

I was a new mom when I started this business and I wanted to mark my new identity with a necklace. All the available pieces I found were just not me. They felt generic. I wanted to honour my past self who was an artist and an athlete and I wanted something a little edgier to match my vibe. Just because I was a new mom didn’t mean that I wanted to lose my truest self.

What ended up being created was a unique, handwritten font and instead of spelling out “Mommy” like all the necklaces I saw in the world, I chose “Mama”. It felt more like how I wanted to be called. It felt right to me. We create what we need. That’s how LITZI was born.

That LITZI necklace carries our signature font. I liken it to the graffiti that marks the brick walls that encompass the basketball court near my house. Each LITZI script necklace is unique. These personalized pieces are our LITZI “Carrie necklace”.

Do you remember when Carrie loses her name necklace and feels like she has lost her voice (not good for a writer)!? She starts feeling like even though she is living the “dream life in Paris”, that she is losing her identity one croissant at a time. Have you ever felt that way? I am pretty sure we all have. Our sense of self is ever-changing; in the workplace, with different people, when we travel, and as we evolve throughout adulthood. It is imperative to expand and to try on different hats…or necklaces. LOL. But sometimes, it’s really nice to come home to yourself. To carry that reminder with you of who are at your core as you morph throughout your days.

I love that so many of you are choosing to order a unique necklace that spells out your name, your favourite motto, a reminder of your North Star, your maiden name, your child’s name, your pet’s name or your nickname. What’s so special about the LITZI script necklace is that you can create something totally unique and personal to you that only you need to know the meaning of.

I think it’s important to not just celebrate where your goals and dreams are driving you, but to mark where you started. To celebrate how far you have come. And to remember that no matter what, that your beautiful core self is always at your centre; your own compass leading you exactly where you need to go.
