I love the tension of the push and pull between opposites. It’s a big part of the LITZI vibe. Yes, I’ve designed delicate heart necklaces, but there is always something off kilter about them. And, I’ll wear one with a FUCK ring. LITZI is a brand for everyone and every mood, because while you can find classic pieces, you can also find something that expresses your edge. LITZI has been around for 8 years and in that time, we’ve designed many collections. Every time we release a collection, I create a look-book to feature the jewellery.
For my latest look-book, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to marry all the collections and show you how they all live together. I wanted close-ups of the pieces. To show you cool rich textures. How the chains sliver, the moissanite rings dazzle and the FUCK rings stack up.
I hired my friend Rich, a sought-after fashion photographer. I gave him a detailed shot list and this vision board.
I hired my friend Vanessa as my model because she has the raw elegance I wanted. With perfect skin and sharp facial features, her seriously sexy vibe felt like the embodiment of LITZI.
Luckily, Vanessa has a serious love of fashion and brought the strong monotone pieces I wanted to the shoot. A neutral bando, an oversized black leather trench and a red strapless jumpsuit.
We knew what we wanted. We mixed metals, sexy textures, and the collections. Because we were prepared; magic happened on set. (AKA – my place. LOL.)
Rich zoomed in on the jewellery. While we were simultaneously watching the shots appear on the laptop, he surprised us. He switched a few colour shots to B&W, and in that moment, we all knew we were creating something seriously special.
The duality of "Classic Scarlett Johansson meets Over-The-Top Mob Wife" aesthetic made the tension I wanted skyrocket off the screen.
