When I was little, my dad would tell us that if inspiration hits and we are gifted an idea from the universe, then we better run with it before it gallops off to someone else.
In this BTS video, I shared that the Lucky Bitch Ring came to me while I was designing something else entirely. The words felt cheeky. They felt right. Because of what my dad always said, and because my gut check was positive, I placed the bet. I’m so grateful I did because check out everything happening with the Lucky Bitch Ring over the last few weeks!
Liz Plank shared that it was her 37th birthday and how weird it felt for her. I sent her a ring to help quell her uncertainty. It was a friendly gesture to say this year is going to be great and how amazing is it that we made it this far?! She posted a picture wearing the ring on social media and another with the tagline “Aging is a privilege”. She’s so right!
I sent Jenny Mollen a ring to gift a lucky Substack subscriber. I gave her one too. Not only did she post it, but she is auctioning it off as part of a GoFundMe campaign for the recovery of her friend Megan. What an honour.
Then, and this was a real shocker, my husband, who I’ve been with for 19 years, announced he wanted one. He doesn’t wear rings, let alone a wedding ring. He thinks they feel too claustrophobic. (I never minded. He got a tattoo from his ring finger all the way to his heart instead!). But this particular ring felt right for him. It’s as unique and bad ass as he is. It looks so f**king great on him don’t you think?

I decided to evolve it further when my friend wondered if it could be modified. For him, the Lucky Bitch Ring became the Uncle Rich Ring. He loves it!
I cannot tell you how happy this all makes me. To grab an idea from wherever ideas come from, and bring it into reality and then get to watch as it gathers momentum because it resonates with my peeps, is exactly why I do what I do.
