✨No Risk, No Magic✨

As I press “publish” on this post, I am nervous. I have been running a jewellery business for 10 years. Now…notebooks? How did that happen?

Last year I did The Artist’s Way with friends. It’s 12-week deep dive into yourself, and your creativity…all to heal and expand your life. It was life-changing. One of the activities the author Julia Cameron prescribes is Morning Pages. You write 3 pages every day. While I may not make the time every single morning, I have come back to my notebook consistently enough to notice an evolution.

It was in writing my pages that whispers to design a notebook (and many more things to come!) have been coming up for me. LITZI is about storytelling, so it only makes sense that I create what I need; a juicy notebook deigned by me, to house my stories.

Morning Pages help my chaotic mind settle, prioritize, and hear myself think. They offer a container for my worries, my stresses, and my challenges. I live with more lightness because my brain no longer carries the burden of worry quite so much. My notebooks allow me to talk to a friend whenever I want, the friend that I needed all along. Myself.

Sometimes I ask myself a question and an answer eventually appears. (Like, why aren’t there summer camps for adults? LOL.) Writing is how I figure out what I need today. Writing and processing my thoughts helps me focus on what I need to do today. I no longer feel pulled in a million directions by a spinning mind. Like I said, it’s life-changing.

It was through my Morning Pages that the words “No Risk, No Magic” kept coming up for me. I want to make a necklace with those words. But first, the notebook that keeps coming up needed to be designed. I deserve more than pharmacy brand “school supply” notebooks! I want something…special.

I am so excited to share this new creation with you. This hard cover lime green notebook pops! I hope you love it. Whether you write grocery lists or your next best seller – I hope it finds it’s way onto your desk. Personally, I have to train that muscle to use nice things. Nice things shouldn’t be hidden in drawers, they should be used, and often!

What better way to make my favourite daily ritual even more special than with a design that electrifies my soul?

Like I said, I may be nervous to try something new, and share it with you, but hey – No Risk, No Magic! Don’t worry, this jewellery designer is still a jewellery fanatic, but I am expanding. The graphic designer in me who has always loved paper products is having so much fun!
