HARVEST SEASON

Aaaah the joy of uprooting yourself, your family and your dog! August was BUSY to say the least. Now that we are a bit more settled after moving, and I have an office again, I can sit down to write this letter. Thank you for your patience! I am happy to be here. To have the time to check-in and think about what I want to share with you.

What’s new?

It’s funny because as a business owner, it can be hard to get perspective and recognize results. I am always in GO Mode. It is always about what’s next (a lot actually, so stay tuned!). But it is so important to celebrate the little wins. Like a happy client who is so excited to receive her personalized “FUCK ME” ring. How that ring inspired me to design a “FUCK IT” ring which is ✨COMING SOON✨. And so, I have to train myself to take a moment to say – Way to Go. You moved. You shipped all those orders. You got your son to camp and soccer practices and playdates…and you took time to enjoy the fruits of your labour for a moment.

Isn’t that what life is about right now? Taking a moment to enjoy the harvest? Literally, that amazing sweet summer corn. Those red ripe strawberries that are so incredibly juicy? That basil that you grew and makes even the simplest salad so freaking delicious!?

The more I go through life, the more I need to remind myself to take the pressure off. To slow down and remember that life is a Work in Progress. I may be living in boxes now, but they will eventually be opened, sorted and the contents put…somewhere. But I also see more reasons to acknowledge what a Lucky Bitch I am. To be rooted in routine again. For the sweet relief of my son being happy to go back to school. To see the cycle of the seasons, and all they produce for us to enjoy. Change may at times be scary, but hey, No Risk, No Magic, right?

I hope you are enjoying a return to routine, and enjoying the fruits of your labour as they burst forth.
